How It Works

What to Expect From Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP)

Chiropractic BioPhysics is a research-based approach that looks at the shape of your spine, not just where it hurts. Dr. Woodbury has been a CBP Distinguished Fellow since 2008. He uses X-rays to measure your posture, then builds a plan to move it back toward a healthy curve.

The Method

What Is Chiropractic BioPhysics?

Seen from the side, a healthy spine has gentle curves. Seen from the front, it stands straight. When those curves flatten or the spine shifts, your joints, discs and nerves carry extra load. That is why some pain keeps coming back no matter how often it is treated.

Chiropractic BioPhysics began in the 1980s and brings together chiropractic adjustments, rehab exercise and principles of neurology. Dr. Woodbury measures your posture on X-ray, compares it to a healthy spine and builds a plan to close the gap. Progress X-rays show what changed.

  • Mirror-Image Adjustments

Adjustments set up opposite to the way your posture has shifted, to move the spine back toward center.

  • Mirror-Image Exercises

Exercises that strengthen and rebalance the muscles holding your posture in place.

  • Rehab for Strength and Balance

The last stage builds strength, endurance and balance, so your spine holds its new position.

  • Measured Progress

Posture checks and follow-up X-rays show how your spine is responding, so care is never guesswork.

Who It Helps

Who Chiropractic BioPhysics Can Help

Most people come to us for CBP when pain keeps returning: neck or back pain that a quick adjustment only eases for a few days, headaches and migraines, or carpal tunnel symptoms. Because the plan is built on your own X-rays, two people with the same pain may get different care.

  • Pain that comes back after other care
  • Forward head posture and tech neck
  • Scoliosis in children and adults
  • Headaches and migraines tied to neck strain

Questions

Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) Questions

Ask us anything at (360) 659-8464.

Is Chiropractic BioPhysics Legit?

Yes. CBP is backed by a large body of published research, much of it on measuring and correcting spinal posture. Doctors train and certify through the CBP program, and Dr. Woodbury has been a CBP Distinguished Fellow since 2008.

What Is the Difference Between Chiropractic BioPhysics and a Regular Chiropractor?

A regular adjustment aims to relieve pain today. CBP adds measurement: we compare your X-rays to a healthy spine, adjust toward that shape and track how your posture changes over time.

Do I Need X-Rays?

For CBP care, X-rays are usually part of the first exam because they show the curve of your spine. Dr. Woodbury will explain what he sees and why.

How Long Does CBP Care Take?

It depends on your goals and your spine. Many people feel relief early, while posture correction takes steady visits and home exercises over several months.

Is CBP Safe for Children?

Yes. Children can receive CBP care at Pinnacle Chiropractic. Correcting the position of the spine early helps kids build healthy posture as they grow.
